Brunch Beat

Brunch Beat: Wine and brunch, a winning combination

By on July 26, 2011

It’s only Tuesday, and Brunch Gang is already thinking about their next brunch outing!

Your next brunch adventure could be at In Vino (215 E. 4th St.). Gilt City is offering brunch for one for $12 at the very well-received wine bar in the East Village. You’ll get to choose a starter, brunch entree and either one glass of sangria or a mimosa. Their menu looks fantastic — I wouldn’t even know where to begin! Warm poached eggs on rosemary focaccia toast with grilled prosciutto cotto and basil hollandaise and almond French toast stuffed with strawberry marscarpone are just a couple of the delightful and affordable dishes. In Vino doesn’t skimp in the drink department either, offering three different size mimosas (mimosa, manmosa and megamosa), red and white sangria, and tons of wine. They even make a prosecco mango float, which would be out of this world on an NYC summer day!

If you’re looking for something a little more exotic, you can tempt your taste buds at Casaville (633 Second Ave.) for a French-influenced Moroccan brunch for two that comes with an appetizer, two entrees and four brunch cocktails. It’s a $71 value for $25 from Groupon! Casaville offers a large variety of menu options sure to please everyone in your brunch party.

Enjoy the day, and brunch on!
